Even as a System Engineer, I am not happy that a computer controls my breaks and accelerator. I understand how complex the control systems in my Prius must be. But, why can't there be an emergency shutoff. I am talking a hardwired, no logic, just a switch wired directly to kill the engine. It seems pretty simple.
